But this was the weather at lunchtime today in the fair Second City. Because it will be snowing by the weekend (nope, not making that up) I decided to take myself out to lunch instead of up to the cafeteria where lunch is actually free. I didn't even wear a jacket to work this morning, so all I needed was my trusty gym shoes and I was off to Jimmy John's for a sandwich, which I then ate while sitting on the steps of the Art Institute of Chicago. I felt very "Kes In The City," in case you were wondering :) It will be like this tomorrow, too (lunch meeting), and on Wednesday, so I fully intend to take advantage while I can.Did anyone else appreciate the sunshine so early this morning as much as I did? That made all the difference...until I came out of work a little after 5 and found it to be dark. Well, of course: Fall Back and all that. It was something of a novelty today. That novelty, however, will surely wear off by December when we'll be down to a mere 9 hours of daylight per day. Sunrise about 7:15am; sunset about 4:25pm. Yeesh.
But in the meantime, one last booster shot of summer to tide us over!

Is it snowing yet? We had a cold front hit here that sent me scrambling for a coat and gloves, but it was only in the 50's... I'm such a lightweight! Miss ya!
