Things I Will Definitely Miss About Orlando

  • Rob and my friends, of course!
This goes without saying, but I didn't want anyone to feel left out if I didn't say it out loud :)
  • Orangewood (my church).
There's actually a pretty big hole in my life that Orangewood used to fill. Fortunately, I have a playlist of music we did on my iPod and there's a church not too far from here that's a reasonable substitute.
  • My 15-minute commute to work.
Now it's 5 minutes to the train, an hour or so on the train, and a 15-minute walk. Delightful at this time of year, but it will be miserable in November when it's 37 and drizzling.
  • Earl of Sandwich.
I may fly down just for Holiday Sandwich Season. No, I'm not entirely kidding.
  • Being able to go to the parks whenever I wanted to.
Not that I went all that often as of late, but it was nice to know that I could.
  • Watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from my bedroom window!
One of the local high schools had a pretty decent show for Homecoming the other night, though, so that scratched the itch for the time being. It was a far cry from Wishes, of course, but at least it was pyrotechnics, and plenty of it!
  • Singing in the car on the way to and from work.
    It's generally frowned-upon on the train :)
  • February!
If you know Chicago winters, you know why I say this. If you don't, you will once I write about it!
  • Epcot Food & Wine Festival
Except for the crowds, this is my second-favorite time of year at Disney (after Christmas). YUM!!! Somebody have a chocolate creme brulee for me...
